Therrestra restores the children's room of the La Isleta Correction and Rehabilitation Center

As part of Therrestra's social responsibility in Moca, we have restored the children's room of the La Isleta Correction and Rehabilitation Center, so that preventive and convicted inmates who are admitted can enjoy their children in a suitable space.

Bernardo Enríquez Maldonado, director of the campus, thanked Therrestra for its contribution to favor the integration of inmates with their families. "It is a space that encourages inmates to interact with their children in a safe environment."

The purpose is to give the inmates the opportunity to reintegrate and play their role as parents, as responsible parents.

The center operates under the modalities of the New Prison Management Model. It is one of the 13 that develops extensive agricultural and poultry production for consumption by the inmates. The surplus is offered to the local market. The income is used for the purchase of supplies, food, medicines and other materials that are used in raising birds and animals, as well as for the cultivation of vegetables and crops.
