After an effusive opening ceremony, last Thursday, January 30, the Club Med Exclusive Collection Miches hotel project, Playa Esmeralda, was formally opened. With the opening of the complex, the Club Med chain once again imposes itself as a pioneer in the El Seibo province, with its first resort "Exclusive Collection", conceived with an avant-garde design, which seeks to integrate the buildings with nature and that guests enjoy the singular harmony that is generated between the different villages that make up the hotel.

Last Sunday, January 26, the annual edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), held in Ifema, Madrid, Spain, was concluded. FITUR is one of the most important global venues for the meeting of tourism professionals and as every year, Therrestra was present at the prestigious event for the sector, participating as a co-exhibitor of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic.

From Therrestra we are committed to the events that bring together the different companies in the sector. For this reason, we participated in the Construweekend golf tournament on September 27 and 28 at the Punta Espada course in Cap Cana.

At the beginning of October, Therrestra, together with the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, met at the IFTM Top Resa international tourism fair, held in Paris, France. Top Resa is the most important tourism fair for the French market and is an event in which tourism delegations from most of the countries of the world participate in the tourism sector, hotel chains, airlines, tour operators, service providers , businessmen, investors, banking agents and specialized journalists, all with the aim of consolidating negotiations that promote the arrival of tourists to destinations such as the Dominican Republic.

Our company participated in the Commercial Expo of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic to contribute to the unity of the tourism sector and maintain the success and leadership achieved in the country

The Rotary Club Moca 2 de Mayo, a service institution founded on November 22, 1983, recognized Therrestra for its contributions to the Espaillat province.

During the high school graduation ceremony of the Educare school, in Moca, our President, Hugo Pérez Ovalles, awarded the prize for excellence to the student Laura Marie Rosario Sánchez, who obtained the best grade point average during the entire high school period.

The Active Club 20-30, an organization made up of young men and women between the ages of 20 and 39, without restrictions of religious or political belief, who carry out works of social good for underprivileged children in their communities, have recognized Therrestra for to be a company committed to the youth of the country.

The Association of Provisions and Chuchería Wholesalers for the province of Espaillat, recognized the founder and president of Therrestra, Hugo Pérez Ovalles, as Mocano of the Year in its annual activity, the event that brings together the commercial and business sector of the province and in which recognizes the meritorious work of industrial and business figures who, through their work and dedication, contribute more to the growth and development of this territorial demarcation.

Our president and founder, engineer Hugo Pérez Ovalles, participated in the Construction Summit 2019 of Mercado magazine. This event has established itself as the most influential event in the construction sector in the Dominican Republic, thanks to the relevant personalities, both nationally and internationally, who participate in it.
