Therrestra concludes the construction of the Club Med Exclusive Collection Miches project, Playa Esmeralda.

After an effusive opening ceremony, last Thursday, January 30, the Club Med Exclusive Collection Miches hotel project, Playa Esmeralda, was formally opened. With the opening of the complex, the Club Med chain once again imposes itself as a pioneer in the El Seibo province, with its first resort "Exclusive Collection", conceived with an avant-garde design, which seeks to integrate the buildings with nature and that guests enjoy the singular harmony that is generated between the different villages that make up the hotel.
The innovative project divides its areas into four large zones or villages, each one aimed at a particular type of guest: Explorer Cove (family), Emerald Jungle (adults only), Archipelago (couples) and Caribbean Paradise (all public).

At Club Med Miches, Therrestra was responsible for developing the 37 villas in the Caribbean Paradise area, 18 villas in the Archipelagos area and the Main Building, the heart of the entire complex, which houses the lobby, 4 restaurants, the theater, shops, coffee shops, bars, among other amenities.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Henri Giscard D´Estain, President of Club Med, the assistance of Lic. Danilo Medina, President of the Dominican Republic, Lic. Francisco Javier García, Minister of Tourism and numerous guests linked to the chain.

“At Grupo Therrestra we are very grateful for the trust placed by Club Med in our team. It is a project that posed challenges, as it was the first in the area, and which, in turn, involved rigorous controls, as it is in the process of obtaining a "Green Globe" certification for its architecture and its construction process oriented to the sustainability. We have managed to develop buildings that are ingeniously inserted into the landscape, with complex structural schemes, which break with the conventional scheme and mark a milestone in terms of construction. With the construction of Club Med in Miches, we are writing a new chapter in the promising future that the Dominican Republic is building, betting on the development of new tourist centers such as Miches ”, concluded Ing. Hugo Pérez, president of Therrestra.
