INCONCRETO, first prize for excellence in the construction sector; They seek to promote the development of Engineers and Architects

The construction sector comes together to recognize talent and promote the development of those who are part of it through scholarships and knowledge.

Santo Domingo, DN- With the aim of contributing more to the country where they were born and its young people, the engineers Rafael Aybar, President of Grupo Aybar, and Hugo Pérez Ovalles, President of Grupo Therrestra; come together to create INCONCRETO, the first Excellence Award for professionals in Civil Engineering and Architecture, inviting different actors in the construction sector to participate.

In its first version, INCONCRETO will be awarding four scholarships for master's degrees, giving participants the opportunity for greater academic training and better opportunities in the future.

The master's degrees will be taken at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC), a study house that has played an important role in the professional training of thousands of engineers, who have stood out in our country, the executives say.

“We have created an interesting structure to encourage the interest of young civil engineers and architects who deserve to develop their careers and go to the next level, training in a more solid way and contributing to being more competitive in the work environment,” said Eng. Rafael. Aybar, president of the Aybar Group.

About INCONCRETO and the format to choose winners

INCONCRETO consists of four stages: registration, pre-selection of 20 applicants, pre-selection of ten finalists, and then the selection of four winners.

For this first edition, the Jury Council is made up of prominent professionals in the industry, including Engineer Annerys Meléndez, President of ACOPROVI and VP Melcon Construcciones, specialized in Construction Administration; Eng. Miguel El-Hage, Executive Director HAGECO, who has stood out for bringing design and modernization to the metropolis in the residential, commercial and industrial fields; Engineer Luis Abbott, renowned structuralist; Eng. Alejandro José Fondeur, VP of Mera Fondeur Corporate Group, president of ACOPROVICI and specialized in real estate development; Architect Liza Ortega, founder of Design Build studio, specialized in Architecture, art and ephemeral space; Jorge Brown, prominent designer and creative, as well as founder of Design Week; Ing. Raúl Rizek, president of Constructora Rizek and influential leader in the construction sector; Eng. Cristian Medina, President of the Developers and Builders Association in La Altagracia; who together with the engineers Rafael Aybar and Hugo Pérez Ovalles will be choosing, under equal conditions, all the participants in INCONCRETO.

How to participate in a master's degree contest

Professionals in the sector interested in registering must access the website www.premiosinconcreto.com, starting February 21, where they must register, complete the requirements and upload a video file based on the details requested on the portal.

Subsequently, twenty participants will be preselected, who will then be interviewed individually by the jury, to choose ten semifinalists, who in the next stage will receive promotions through social networks, having the opportunity to be voted by the public for the content in the video. that each participant uploaded to the registration portal.

Given this step, the jury will be in charge of selecting the four winners of the scholarships for a Master of Science in Construction Administration at the INTEC university. Registration will be open until March 4 of the current year.

Launch, event and presentation

To formalize INCONCRETO, a cocktail party was held, held on the Rooftop of DCM Marmotech, where the details of the award, the entire process of its conception and the formal presentation of the jury members, who were present along with other related parties, were announced. from the sector, as well as managers from the main brands and construction supplier companies.

Those present showed their support for the project as sponsors and collaborators, making possible this type of initiative that will definitely help and positively impact those who aspire to participate.
