Grupo Therrestra and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra sign a collaboration agreement

Full-term students and graduates of the Civil Engineering and Architecture degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) will be able to carry out professional internships at Grupo Therrestra, a company dedicated to offering design, construction and supervision services for tourism, residential and commercial projects both in the Dominican Republic and in the Caribbean.

This and other actions are circumscribed in a framework agreement signed by the president of the PUCMM, Monsignor Agripino Antonio Núñez Collado, the rector, Pbro. Dr. Ramón Alfredo De la Cruz Baldera and the president of Therrestra, Hugo Pérez Ovalles.

"I graduated in Civil Engineering from PUCMM in Santiago, and many of my employees are graduates of this university as well, so it seemed right to me to have this approach with the institution and formalize agreements," explained engineer Pérez.

Added to the internship program is the establishment of the Therrestra Award for Excellence, which will recognize the academic performance of Civil Engineering and Architecture students with the payment of the educational credit for their studies, as well as the updating of the TH laboratory on the Santiago campus.

Meanwhile, the rector of the PUCMM indicated that the university and the construction company agreed to develop actions of an educational and scientific nature, aimed at promoting improvement in the training of students.
