Therrestra Group highlights the importance of DATE as a business platform

Therrestra participated from March 26 to 28, in the twentieth edition of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange, DATE 2019, the most important annual event for the promotion of Dominican tourism nationally and internationally.

The engineer Hugo Pérez Ovalles, president of Therrestra, stressed that participating in the DATE opens the doors for local companies to close business with foreign companies. "Events like these serve as a platform for construction companies, hotel chains, tour operators and others to increase their business portfolio thanks to the foreign presence in the country."

Therrestra is in charge of the realization of the new "Ocean Coral Spring by H10 Hotels" of approximately 120,000 m2 of construction in Jamaica, an avant-garde complex with an imposing design composed of two phases, opening up countless entertainment spaces for all ages.

According to official data, 2018 attracted significant hotel investments and the country continued to consolidate itself as the most important tourist destination in the Caribbean, which represented an accumulated growth of 6.7% of visits to the country.

DATE had the participation of more than 100 suppliers of the Dominican tourist product and took place at the Blue Mall Punta Cana, organized by the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic, Asonahores.
