Children with special conditions in Moca receive help to improve school facilities.

Santo Domingo, The 107 primary school students from the Moca National School for the Deaf will have new sports and leisure facilities. The Therrestra company has built an outdoor patio so that the students of this institution who are between three and twenty years old, can carry out different recreational activities.

The Moca National School for the Deaf provides training for children and young people with autism, deafness, Down syndrome and other diseases that affect psychomotor skills and cognition. "As the son of Moca, it is my moral duty to be able to be part of a construction that facilitates the best education and quality of leisure that these children receive," explained Hugo Pérez Ovalles, president and founder of the Therrestra construction company.

The school, which has been in operation since 1998, has a staff of fourteen teachers who work in the educational training and values of these children and young people. "For us this new space is an opportunity to reinforce the School's capacity when it comes to meeting the needs of our boys," quotes the School's director.
